Not every challenge can—or should—be worked through in fifty-minute sessions. Whether you're working through trauma, navigating a major life transition, rebuilding your relationship, recovering from betrayal, processing grief, or simply ready to create meaningful progress, therapy intensives provide dedicated time to focus deeply on what matters most. Together, we'll create a personalized experience designed around your goals, your schedule, and the life you're ready to step into.
Therapy intensives provide the time, flexibility, and focused attention to work toward meaningful change without feeling rushed by the clock or limited by the traditional weekly therapy model. Every intensive is thoughtfully tailored to your goals, integrating the approaches that best fit your needs while creating space for deeper healing, lasting insight, and practical transformation.
Life rarely slows down on its own. Between work, relationships, parenting, caregiving, and the constant demands of everyday life, it's easy to keep putting yourself last—even when you know something needs to change. Therapy intensives create the space to step away from the noise, focus on what matters most, and invest in yourself with intention.
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, an intensive offers uninterrupted time to explore, process, practice, and integrate meaningful change without having to stop just as you're gaining momentum. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship challenges, grief, burnout, anxiety, a major life transition, or simply feel ready for something different, your intensive is thoughtfully tailored to your goals, your pace, and the season of life you're in.
This isn't about fitting more therapy into your schedule. It's about creating the right environment for meaningful progress. When you give yourself dedicated time to heal, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most, you often leave with more than insight—you leave with greater clarity, renewed confidence, practical strategies, and momentum that continues long after the intensive ends.
Have you been carrying this for years and feel stuck?
There are seasons of life when weekly therapy is exactly what you need—and there are seasons when you're ready for something more focused. A therapy intensive offers uninterrupted time to slow down, gain clarity, and move beyond simply talking about the problem. Instead of stopping just as you're building momentum, we have the opportunity to stay with the work, integrate new insights, practice different ways of responding, and create meaningful progress in a single, thoughtfully designed experience.
Whether you're working through trauma, navigating a relationship crossroads, processing grief, recovering from burnout, or simply know you're ready for meaningful change, an intensive creates the space to focus on what matters most—without the distractions of everyday life or the limitations of a traditional weekly schedule.
Do you leave therapy wishing you had more time?
Does your schedule make weekly sessions difficult?
Are you ready to stop circling the problem?
Imagine stepping away from the demands of everyday life and returning with a renewed sense of direction, emotional clarity, and confidence in your next steps. Therapy intensives aren't about rushing the healing process—they're about creating the dedicated time needed to fully engage in it. Together, we'll work toward meaningful progress that helps you move beyond surviving and begin living with greater intention, connection, and possibility.
I really couldn't ask for a better location to serve my clients. Come for a long weekend to experience a two-three days of intensive therapy in the mornings while leaving time in the afternoon and evenings to explore our vibrant Colorado, then return to your life on Monday feeling refreshed, revitalized, and ready to take on the world.
Whether your interested in hiking, the city nightlife, or exploring the artsy, quirky spaces, I have a list of all the great places to explore on your visit, from where to stay to what to do with your restorative time. Together we will create the perfect intensive experience that allows you to go deep and explore both your inner and outer world.
There's something powerful about stepping outside of your everyday routine. Away from constant responsibilities, familiar environments, and daily distractions, many clients find it easier to slow down, reflect, and fully engage in the healing process.
Nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Northern Colorado offers the opportunity to pair meaningful therapeutic work with rest, nature, and intentional time for yourself.
Whether you're traveling on your own, with a partner, or incorporating your intensive into a personal retreat, we'll create an experience that feels restorative, focused, and deeply personalized. Many clients choose to extend their stay to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, enjoy local restaurants and coffee shops, visit nearby Estes Park, or simply permit themselves to rest before returning home. Healing doesn't have to happen within the walls of your everyday life—and sometimes a change in scenery creates the space for a new perspective.
No Two Intensives Are Exactly Alike
One of the greatest advantages of a therapy intensive is that it isn't built around a predetermined therapy model—it's built around you. Every intensive is thoughtfully designed to meet you where you are, honor your goals, and create the greatest opportunity for meaningful, lasting change.
Before we ever meet for your intensive, we'll begin with a complimentary consultation to determine whether an intensive is the right fit for your needs. From there, you'll complete intake paperwork and assessment measures that help me better understand your history, strengths, current challenges, and what you're hoping to achieve. Together, we'll identify clear goals so we arrive on day one with a shared direction and a personalized plan.
Drawing from more than 16 years of clinical experience, I thoughtfully integrate evidence-based approaches based on what will best support your growth—not what's most familiar or convenient. Depending on your goals, your intensive may include EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), parts work, attachment-focused therapy, cognitive and behavioral strategies, somatic interventions, mindfulness, relationship skill-building, or practical tools you can immediately begin applying in everyday life.
As we work together, your intensive continues to evolve in real time. Healing isn't linear, and sometimes the most important work is different than what we expected when we started. My role is to stay attuned to what emerges, adapt the process when needed, and create a therapeutic experience that feels intentional, responsive, and deeply personalized. Rather than fitting you into a therapy model, I tailor the therapy model to fit you.

Therapy intensives are supported by a growing body of research demonstrating that concentrated therapeutic work can be both effective and efficient for many concerns, including trauma, anxiety, grief, and relationship distress. Rather than repeatedly stopping and restarting emotional processing across multiple weeks, intensives provide uninterrupted time to build momentum, deepen insight, and integrate new learning while it's happening.
Research on trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, along with studies on intensive therapy models, suggests that many clients experience meaningful symptom reduction, increased emotional regulation, and lasting improvements in functioning. While every person's healing journey is unique, therapy intensives offer an evidence-informed option for those seeking a more focused, personalized approach to meaningful change.
As with every service I provide, your intensive is thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs, goals, and readiness—because the most effective therapy isn't determined by the length of the session, but by creating the right environment for lasting transformation

Who are therapy intensives best suited for and are they worth it?
03
A therapy intensive is a personalized, extended therapy experience designed to help you make meaningful progress in a focused period of time. Rather than spreading the work across weekly sessions, intensives provide dedicated, uninterrupted time to explore, process, and integrate lasting change. Every intensive is thoughtfully tailored to your goals and may incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches based on what will best support your growth.

What is a therapy intensive?
01
That's exactly what our complimentary consultation is for. We'll talk through what's bringing you in, what you've already tried, your goals, and what you're hoping will feel different afterward. Together, we'll determine whether a therapy intensive, extended sessions, or traditional weekly therapy is the best fit. If an intensive feels right, we'll begin mapping out a personalized experience tailored to your unique needs, thoughtfully selecting the approaches that will best support your goals—whether that's EMDR, ART, parts work, somatic interventions, relationship-focused therapy, or an integrative combination designed specifically for you. You don't need to know which therapy approach is right for you—that's my responsibility. Your job is simply to show up ready for change.
Can I travel for a therapy intensive?
06
Absolutely. Many clients travel from across Colorado and other states to participate in therapy intensives. Some choose to turn the experience into a personal retreat, allowing themselves additional time to rest, reflect, and enjoy Northern Colorado before returning home. Whether you're traveling for individual or couples work, we'll help you plan an experience that feels thoughtful, supportive, and worth the investment.
Can I do a therapy intensive if I already have a therapist?
05
Every person's journey is unique, and no ethical therapist can promise specific outcomes. That said, many clients experience meaningful breakthroughs, greater clarity, reduced emotional distress, renewed confidence, and practical tools they can immediately begin applying in their lives. Rather than replacing the healing process, therapy intensives create the dedicated time and momentum that can help move you through challenges that may have felt stuck in traditional weekly therapy. When you intentionally create space for healing, reflection, and growth, change naturally follows. It may look like greater clarity, emotional relief, renewed hope, practical strategies, or simply seeing yourself and your story differently—but it's difficult to engage this deeply without something shifting.
How much progress can I realistically expect?

How do I know if an intensive is the right fit?
Yes. Therapy intensives can be a wonderful complement to your ongoing therapy. Many clients work with me for focused treatment around a specific goal—such as trauma processing, relationship repair, grief, or a major life transition—and then return to their primary therapist for continued support. With your permission, I'm happy to collaborate with your therapist to help ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care.
